Caribbean-inspired super easy frozen mango daiquiri for a hot summer day! This is a 3 ingredient cocktail that you’re going to love!

Frozen Mango Daiquiri

Lately, I’ve been daydreaming a lot about a vacation to the Caribbean… Laying on the beach and sipping tropical cocktails, now that is the definition of a perfect life! That inspired me to make this frozen mango daiquiri…

COCKTAIL MAKING

Making cocktails is an art! At least in my opinion. I really enjoy watching the bartenders mixing all those ingredients together to make spectacular cocktails. It has always amazed me how mixing a few different ingredients would result in tasty and appealing drinks. It’s like drawing a magnificent picture using only a few pencils.

If you have been following me on my social media lately, then you probably know what I’m talking about. Whenever I go out with my friends on Friday or Saturday nights, or even when I get invited to late-night business parties, I always talk to the bartender before choosing my cocktail. I ask about the ingredients, how the cocktail is made, and what it will taste like. Quite often I record and share the whole experience on my social media. And I have learned a lot from that, in terms of cocktail-making, which tools to use and even a little bit about cocktail history. Although I’m not a big drinker myself, I love exploring different tastes and combinations. Luckily my best friend J; who I usually go out with, really enjoys cocktails as well. She even has a (never-ending) list of cocktails that she wants to try.

So one night when we went to a Speakeasy bar in Bristol, the bartender who made my cocktail -and while answering a dozen questions that I kept asking to satisfy my curiosity- told me that if I want to become a cocktail expert, I need to learn how to make the classics (Margarita, Martini, Daiquiri, Old Fashioned, White Russian, etc…). Once I do so, it will become surprisingly easy to learn hundreds of other recipes while experimenting.

Empowered with all the knowledge and tips I got that evening, I got really excited to throw a do-it-yourself cocktail party. However, my knowledge of the classics was not that great. So my friends suggested that we go for the usual which is gin and tonic, but I insisted that we try something new. I needed to find a good source to help me with this, and luckily I found lots of different ideas and recipes on thebar.com

thebar.com is a complete website that could answer any of your questions as it answered mine! Its classic-cocktails page has all that I needed. It got me inspired to try several recipes. I kept testing and trying until I found my favourite one. I found this Strawberry Daiquiri recipe that I really liked, but wanting to add my own twist on it I thought I’d experiment with mangoes (mango is my favourite fruit!).

Captain Morgan’s classic spiced and dark rums take their name from the intrepid 17th-century buccaneer, who went on to become governor of Jamaica. Today Captain Morgan is one of the world’s best-selling rums. For this recipe, I’ve used Captain Morgan original spiced gold rum. This rum is also perfect for making Pina colada, Long Island ice tea, mojitos or a simple rum punch.

So experimenting with daiquiris using mango turned out to be a wonderful idea, it now became a favorite in my house and I make it often when my friends come over for drinks. What is your favorite classic cocktail?

Also, make sure to check our my frozen strawberry daiquiri, it’s equally as good!
