Why You Will Love These Air Fryer Fajitas
- They’re incredibly easy to make! Prep veggies, toss with seasonings, and air fry!
- Air Fry for just 9 minutes. I tested this recipe out so many times, until I found that sweet spot where the peppers are charred but still crunchy, and the shrimp are perfectly cooked!
- It’s all about the seasoning! If you still buy store-bought fajita seasoning, seriously, you need to try my homemade fajita seasoning recipe. It’s 1000 times better, cheaper, and healthier!
- It’s a healthy meal made with just 5 ingredients.
The Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Air Fryer shrimp fajitas:
- Shrimp – use raw thawed shrimp (not cooked!). You can leave the tails on, or discard them (I like to leave them purely for aesthetics).
- Bell peppers – you can use any color you have, but I like to use a mix to give my fajitas a great color.
- Onion – yellow or red.
- Fajita seasoning – I strongly recommend trying my fajita seasoning recipe. I’m 100% sure that you will love it. It’s one of the most popular recipes on my site for a reason!
- Oil – to help things crisp up.
How to Make Shrimp Fajitas in the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°F) for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, season the vegetables. Toss with half of the oil and half of the fajita seasoning. Add the vegetables to the Air Fryer basket and Air fry for 3 minutes.
- As the vegetables are being air fried, season the shrimp with the rest of the oil and fajita seasoning.
- When the 3 minutes are up, with a spatula move the vegetables to one side of the air fryer basket, and add the shrimp to the other half.
- Air fry for 6 minutes at 375°F (190°F) flipping halfway through. Mix everything together and serve.
To sum it up, you will air fry the vegetables for 3 minutes then add the shrimp and cook everything for 6 more minutes. So total will be 9 minutes at 375°F (190°F).
Toppings
My favorite thing about fajitas, tacos, and Mexican food, in general, is the toppings. Below are my favorites:
- Pico de gallo
- Lime crema
- Guacamole
- Pineapple salsa
- Chopped fresh cilantro leaves
For a complete Mexican feast, serve these fajitas with my favorite agua frescas, and churro bites for dessert.
