We really enjoy this Oreo Fluff in our family. It’s a top pick for potlucks and gatherings, especially during summer. It’s easy and quick, and everyone loves the mix of crunchy Oreos with creamy, fluffy layers. Perfect for when you need a tasty dessert that doesn’t take much time.

Making this Oreo Fluff is really a breeze, and it’s so fun too! While I get the pudding ready, the kids have a great time crushing the Oreos. They can’t get enough of it! After that, I just gently mix everything together and let it chill in the fridge. It’s super simple, and the result is always a big hit with hardly any effort. This recipe is a real winner for its ease and fantastic taste.

Ingredients In Recipe

Here’s what you need to make this delicious Oreo dessert:

Ingredients needed to make oreo fluff
  • Instant Pudding and Milk: You need one box of vanilla instant pudding (not the cook-and-serve type), and milk to make the pudding. You can experiment with other pudding flavors like cheesecake pudding. White chocolate pudding is also delicious here!
  • Oreos: Regular Oreo sandwich cookies are perfect here. You will need to crush them into smaller pieces, but make sure to reserve a few for decoration.
  • Marshmallows: Add two cups of white mini marshmallows for the best flavor and texture. Make sure that they’re fresh and not dried out.
  • Whipped Topping: Four cups of thawed whipped topping such as Cool Whip are used here. Keep in mind that an 8-ounce tub of whipped topping contains 3 cups, and we are using 4 cups here.

Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

How To Make Oreo Fluff

Instant pudding with milk thickened in a glass bowl

  1. Prepare the Pudding: Mix the instant vanilla pudding with milk in a large bowl. Use a mixer to blend until it becomes thick, which takes about 2 minutes.
  2. Add Oreos and Marshmallows: Stir in the crushed Oreos and mini marshmallows into the thickened pudding mixture. Ensure they are evenly distributed.
  1. Incorporate Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping with the mixture. Be careful to maintain the fluffiness of the whipped topping.
  2. Chill and Set: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Oreo Fluff for at least 2 hours. This step is crucial for the flavors to meld together and for the dessert to achieve the right consistency.
  3. Serve: Once set, the Oreo Fluff is ready to be served. It can be scooped into bowls or served as a dip with additional cookies or fruit.

Recipe Tips

  • Pudding Consistency: Ensure the pudding mixture is thick before adding other ingredients for the best texture.
  • Oreo Size: Crush the Oreos to your liking; finer pieces give a more uniform texture, while larger chunks add more crunch.
  • Whipped Topping: Fold in the whipped topping gently to keep the mixture light and fluffy.
  • Chill Time: Allowing adequate chill time is key for the flavors to blend and the dessert to set properly.
  • Serving Options: Get creative with serving – it can be a standalone dessert, a filling for pies, or a dip with fruits and cookies.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 3 days for best taste.
