Super easy 5 ingredient honey garlic chicken served with rice!
HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN
I love this kind of dishes where you can just throw the ingredients in your multicooker/slow cooker and it becomes a very delicious meal! Minimal effort, yet you still get warm and tasty food. And this honey garlic chicken is definitely better than a take out that you can get at an Asian restaurant because it’s just really really good and it’s homemade!
I usually make this honey garlic chicken with soya sauce on days when I don’t feel like cooking, or I don’t have much time to cook. I either put everything in my multicooker in the morning and let it slowly cook until I get home from work. Or, I use the express programme to let it cook it for me quickly when I’m having a very busy day.
The flavours in this crispy chicken recipe are absolutely beautiful! You will love the honey garlic combo (You should also try my honey garlic salmon – it’s sooo good!).
I’ve been using my Multicooker Redmond quite often, it’s a lifesaver and I can pretty much cook anything in it. It just makes my life 100x times easier! I have a Multicooker REDMOND RMC-M150E and you can read my full review here. Also, did you know that you can bake in this awesome gadget? I actually baked this Apple sharlotka cake, and a Chocolate zebra drip cake in it and many many more, so I will be sharing more recipes with you really soon!
HOW TO MAKE THE SAUCE
The secret of the wonderful Asian flavours is, of course, the incredibly tasty sauce (and yeah basically the soya sauce!). To make this sauce you only need 4 simple ingredients; honey, ketchup, low in sodium soya sauce, crushed garlic, and to garnish with chopped parsley, and sesame seeds! I use low in sodium soya sauce because I don’t like my food to be too salty but that’s of course totally up to you!
The reason why I really like this multicooker is that it can do so many things for you, it works as a slow cooker, it can fry, steam, and basically cook your food. It comes with 46 programmes, and comes with 3D heating which means that the heat is distributed equally so I never ever burnt anything in it! One of my favourite things about this multicooker is that it comes with a “reheat” and a “keep warm” options which I find very useful, as after it cooks the food for you it keeps it warm in case you’re away and can’t check on the food right after it’s cooked.
Also, make sure to check out the recipe video below, it’s a step by step video that shows you exactly how do I make my honey garlic chicken in my multicooker. If you decide to make this, please take a picture, and when you post it tag #LittleSunnyKitchen as I would love to see your creations!
Another family favorite is this Chicken Chilli, it’s comforting, easy to make and delicious!
