Crock Pot Pizza dip is a pizza lovers dream! It’s so creamy and cheesy, and packed with tomatoes, green peppers, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. This hot appetizer is simple to make with your trusty slow-cooker and will be a hit at your next party.

Crock pot dip recipes are the best – especially in the fall and winter time, and particularly for game day parties! Nothing warms you up better than a hot, creamy, cheesy dip filled with pepperoni and sausage. This pizza dip recipe is everything you love about pizza, but in delicious dip form.

I love any kind of hot, cheesy dish that I can dip crackers or chips into! When this rich and savory pizza dip is on the menu, you’ll probably find me stationed next to it, snacking away… It’s so hard to resist!

I’m also a huge fan of Hot Cream Cheese and Bean Dip. It’s baked in the oven and super simple to throw together at the last minute.

Creamy Hot Pizza Dip

  1. Perfect for Parties – We all love hot dips, but we probably don’t love how they have the tendency to cool down as the party progresses. This recipe is cooked in the crockpot and can also be served in the crockpot! Doing it this way ensures that the pizza dip will stay warm and cheesy all night.
  2. Meat Lovers Pizza Dip – This isn’t just pepperoni pizza dip. Nope, we’re adding cooked crumbled italian sausage too!
  3. All The Best Pizza Flavors – Everything you’d expect to taste when biting into a slice of supreme pizza is here – minus the bread! You can serve pizza dip with crackers, tortilla chips, and crostini, or keep it low carb with veggie dippers.

Key Ingredients

The best slow cooker pizza dip recipe needs these simple ingredients:

Ingredients for making crockpot pizza dip including cheese, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and tomatoes.
  • Pepperoni and Sausage: Look for bulk italian sausage that you can brown up like you would ground beef. Mild sausage is generally best here, but if you like this spicy, go for a hot Italian sausage instead! To prep the pepperoni, cut it into quarters.
  • Cream Cheese: Two blocks of cream cheese are the base of this creamy, cheesy dip. You don’t even need to soften the cream cheese for this recipe, as the slow cooker will do that for you.
  • Mozzarella and Parmesan: Did I mention that this pizza dip is cheesy!?
  • Green Bell Pepper: Green peppers are so good on pizza! You can also add some diced onion if you like.
  • Tomatoes: Use a can of petite diced tomatoes, and drain away the liquid before adding them to the dip.
  • Seasonings: Garlic powder and dried Italian seasoning.

Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

How To Make Crock Pot Pizza Dip

  1. Cook the Sausage and Peppers: In a large skillet, over medium high heat, cook the sausage and green bell pepper breaking up the sausage as it cooks. When the sausage is fully cooked and no longer pink, drain off the fat.

  1. Fill the Crockpot: Put the cooked sausage and peppers into the crock pot. Add the pepperoni, cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Cook: Cover and cook on high for 1-2 hours. Every so often, stir the dip to incorporate all of the ingredients.
  3. Serve: If you like, add some fresh chopped parsley as a garnish. Serve hot with chips or crackers.

Tip!

Check the size of your crockpot! This recipe works in a full sized crockpot that is at least 5 quarts. You can transfer some of the dip to a smaller crock pot for serving if you like.

Recipe Tips

  • Add other ingredients: Change up the flavors in this dip by adding your own favorite pizza toppings. Whatever you decide to add, be sure that it is fully cooked before adding it to the crockpot. Try bacon, diced ham, sauteed mushrooms, or banana peppers.
  • A fun presentation: cover the top of the dip with small sliced pepperoni just before serving!
  • Keep it Warm: Use your crockpot to keep this pizza dip warm and cheesy all night long! Just use the “warm” setting on the slow cooker.

Storing Tips

Keep leftover pizza dip in an airtight container in the fridge. It will stay fresh for up to 4 days. You can even freeze this dip for up to 3 months! Reheat in the microwave before serving.

How to Serve Pizza Dip

You are going to want to have the perfect dippers to serve with your pizza dip, and there are plenty of great options.

  • I love serving this with crunchy, crispy dippers like Ritz crackers, tortilla chips, or homemade crostini.
  • Slices of soft baguette work really well too.
  • For a healthier snack, try this dip with carrot and celery sticks!

Recipe FAQs

What can I do with leftover dip?

This dip can be made into a meal with a little bit of creativity! Enjoy it cold, spread onto tortillas, rolled up, and cut into pinwheel style appetizers. You can also use it to top bread. Add a bit more cheese and bake to make the most amazing cheesy bread!

Can I make pizza dip in the oven?

Sure! Soften the cream cheese and mix it with the cooked sausage and peppers and the rest of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Transfer the dip to a baking dish, and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
