COFFEE AND TEA
I probably drink too much tea and coffee. Seriously, if you come to my house or office you will always see me holding a cup with a hot drink. So I had to start my gift guide with my current favourite coffee and tea products!
Melitta Avanza Series 600 Bean to Cup Machine (£500): For coffee enthusiasts looking for a quicker and easier alternative to the time consuming manual espresso makers, this is the best coffee machine that you can get for yourself or someone that you care about!
This sleek appliance creates barista-like coffee in the comfort of your own kitchen. No more coffee runs to your local coffee shop just to get a cup of coffee when you can make the perfect coffee at home!
The Melitta Avanza coffee machine is the world’s smallest fully automatic coffee machine, it can grind your coffee, make a great cup of coffee, and froth milk too!
There are so many impressive features in the Melitta Avanzacoffee machine, let me tell you about my favourite features:
- It’s really quiet! You can drink freshly ground coffee while everyone else sleeps. This coffee machine has a super-quiet steel cone grinder that grinds the coffee beans quickly and quietly.
- XL Water Tank with a capacity of 1.5L, and a 250 g Bean Container.
- The Avanza® has a great design, and it’s really slim – only 20 cm wide! This is perfect for small kitchens and offices!
- The freshly ground coffee is moistened with water before the actual brewing process. As a result, the flavours dissolve better and where do they end up? In your coffee, of course!
- You can adjust the coffee strength. Strong in the morning, but preferably not in the evening? Just as you like – the intensity of the coffee strength is easy to adjust to your current taste from mild to medium to strong. You can adjust the amount of coffee, too, of course. Variable – exactly the way you like it.
- There are five grinder settings. Coffee just the way you like it – freshly ground from whole beans.
- The Double Cup Mode allows you to make two cups of espresso or café crème at the same time. I always use this setting when I make coffee for 2.
- In addition to a programmable energy-saving mode, Melitta® fully automatic coffee machines have a practical Auto-OFF feature. This allows you to determine when your fully automatic coffee machine switches itself off automatically. Of course, you can also disconnect the appliance from the power supply manually using the 0-watt switch.
This Melitta coffee machine is one the best gifts that you give to a foodie this year. Trust me, they will love you forever!
Capsulier coffee pod maker (£99): Finally, someone came up with the idea of a sustainable coffee pod maker! As I said, we’re obsessed with coffee and own several coffee machines. One of them requires pods, but in the past year, I haven’t used it much just because I feel bad about all the non-recyclable pods and have been either buying biodegradable pods when I find them, or ignoring the coffee machine.
The Capsulier LITE gives you a stainless-steel capsule that’s reusable, which means you can create your own custom blends in pods that are eco-friendly, easy to clean and economical.
Reusable pods mean that once you’ve invested in a Capsulier, you can reduce waste by reusing pods. The stainless steel pods are reusable and washable, each pod should last the lifetime of your machine. No waste and better coffee!
Lost Sheep Coffee: I recently came across this very lovely coffee brand called Lost Sheep Coffee. They offer specialty coffee in Kent, and just launched a gift package in time for your Christmas morning coffee.
A pack of completely air-tight 100% compostable Nespresso-compatible speciality coffee capsules made from lignin (derived from wood bark) so no more plastic capsules that are non-recyclable or biodegradable!
The capsules are made using only top 5% speciality grade Arabica coffee beans available in the world which are single-origin and direct trade from Brazil, hand-roasted in Whistable.
A sustainable coffee solution that tastes great!
Japanese Tea Sets from Sous Chef: A very unique gift that you can give to someone this Christmas is a beautiful Japanese tea set from Sous Chef.
How stunning is this Japanese tea set? This set is just so beautiful to own whether you’re hosting a formal gathering or simply want to enjoy the ceremony of drinking traditional Japanese green tea after a meal.
On the Sous Chef website, you will find so many gorgeous Japanese tea sets to choose from, whether you’re looking for just teacups, a matcha set, or a whole tea set. You will find it there!
Salter Metallics Polaris Dome Kettle in Champagne (£33.99): I love this stylish kettle to boil water for tea!
When it comes to buying a kettle, I always make sure that I choose a cordless powerful one that fast boils water for me, and this kettle is 3000W with 1.7L capacity.
The kettle features a removable and washable anti-limescale filter, a boil dry sensor and auto shut off with Strix controller technology for a safer and more advanced design. Ideal for everyday use, I use it to make tea and while cooking when I need hot water. I own a few kettles that I love, and this electric kettle is highly recommended!
I also really love this Tower Fast Boil Kettle (£39.99). It’s a great quality kettle, and the blush pink sparkle coating and a chrome-plated base makes it look so good in my kitchen!
The housing is made with durable stainless steel. The 1.7 litre capacity makes up to 7 cups from a singular fill, with a water level indicator window so you can view the contents of your kettle. Constructed from durable stainless steel with an eye-catching blush pink glitz colour coating and chrome 360 degree coated base for both left and right-handed use.
The automatic shut-off allows you to boil water without worrying that you have to be around once it’s done.
Portmeirion Botanic Blue collection: Portmeirion is one of my all-time favourite brands when it comes to beautiful tableware, as they make a wide range of gorgeous ceramics and have different collections. The botanic blue garden makes a wonderful gift to give on Christmas. Below are my current favourite items from Portmeirion:
Portmeirion Botanic Blue 3 Piece Tea Set (£76 but currently on sale for £38).
Portmeirion Botanic Blue Cake Stand (£41 but currently on sale for £20.50).
Portmeirion Botanic Blue side plates set of 4 (£60 but currently on sale for £30).
Portmeirion Botanic Blue pastry fork set of 6 (£21.50 but currently on sale for £10.75).
AWESOME KITCHEN GADGETS
Multifunctional Digital Soup Maker (£39.99): If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably know how much I love using my soup maker. Recently I’ve been posting recipes with it every week, and I’ve been making soups more often just because it’s SO easy to use!
I replaced my old stainless steel soup maker with this one, because I love the fact that this Vonshef soup maker comes with a glass 1.75L jug that can be filled until 1.4L (perfect for making large batches and freezing!). It’s also more powerful, and you don’t have to pour the soup into a container right after it finishes to prevent burning.
And finally, it comes with a digital timer (my old one didn’t!), which indicates how long is left for the soup to be ready.
To make soup: Simply chop your vegetables, pop them into the soup maker together with the required amount of water/stock and switch on. The soup maker brings the liquid up to temperature and gently simmers until the veg is cooked. You can then choose your setting – chunky, smooth, pulse or blend – and blitz until you have a perfect consistency. It takes just 20-30 minutes to be ready.
I recently got this VonShef Air Fryer that I’ve been really loving for the following reasons:
- It’s a 5-litre Air Fryer, imagine how much food you can fit in it at once! You can fit a whole chicken in this Air Fryer! And most probably won’t need to cook in batches.
- Vapour steam action for low-fat frying and fast results
- You can adjust the temperature depending on what you’re making. The temperature goes up to 200c and allows you to deep fry, roast, bake or grill in one appliance for crunchy, healthy and delicious food
- Operational light indicator and a 60-minute timer for precise cooking and overheat protection
- Detachable non-stick oil tank and 5L frying basket for easy access and cleaning. If you’re making something fatty like burgers, all the fats will drip to the tray and this design makes cleaning up SO easy!
This Air Fryer is a game-changer and makes a wonderful Christmas gift for that foodie that you’re shopping for. But seriously, if you don’t have an Air Fryer then get yourself one ASAP!
Russell Hobbs Breadmaker £64.99: I make my own homemade bread ALL THE TIME! Thanks to this breadmaker, this task became easier and we never run out of bread in our house.
You know how you go to the supermarket to pick up a loaf of bread, but then you read the ingredients list, and you can’t pronounce half of the ingredients? That’s what I hate about store-bought bread!
Making your own bread at home is fun, healthy, and tastes amazing! When using a bread maker, all you have to do is add the ingredients to the bread maker and press start. You can get a freshly baked bread loaf in as little as 55 minutes when using the fast bake setting.
This breadmaker has 12 different programmes to choose from. It can do everything from baking white and wholemeal loaves, to proving dough and baking cakes.
Salter Polaris 2 Slice Toaster (£30): Every kitchen needs a toaster, and here’s my current favourite 2 slice toaster by Salter.
Reasons why I love this toaster:
- I love the champagne metallic finish, it’s so pretty and stylish and matches my kettle (see above),
- This toaster can defrost frozen bread slices, it reheats, and you can choose from 6 browning settings to get that perfect toasted slice every time!
- This 850W toaster features wider slots to accommodate toasting thicker slices, bagels, teacakes, crumpets and more.
- Very simple and easy to use and clean!
For a larger 4 slice toaster, I recommend the Glitz 1600W Tower Toaster (£99.99 now on sale for just £54.99). It’s very stylish and comes in a gorgeous blush colour with a chrome finish.
It features a centring function and up to 7 browning options to choose from. It’s great for not just toast, but I also use it to toast pita bread, muffins, and crumpets.
There’s also a very handy defrost function that I find great as I usually store bread in the freezer, and the reheat and defrost function nicely toasts the bread in no time!
Salter Gingerbread Digital Kitchen Scale (Limited Edition) (£19.99): This is probably the cutest thing that I own in my kitchen! I LOVE these gingerbread kitchen scales, the design is so unique, plus who doesn’t love gingerbread men? Perfect for Christmas baking!
A good electronic digital kitchen scales are needed in every single kitchen. Whether you want to bake a cake and need to check how much flour you need, or you need to measure liquids.
Simply place your ingredients in a bowl and weigh directly onto the scale without washing up multiple times. Featuring an easy to read large digit display, and a slim design for neat storage, this limited-edition Salter Gingerbread Digital Kitchen Scale is ideal for every kitchen. If you buy these scales and take a picture, please tag me on social media 💕
VonShef Stainless Steel Vaccum Sealer (£29.99): Another kitchen essential, is this VonShef vacuum sealer. I had a small one for probably a year and eventually wanted a better vacuum sealer as I use it pretty often. I stock up my pantry with dried apple crisps every Autumn, and my freezer is always filled with okra and mallow leaves.
So a good sturdy vacuum sealer is an essential in my kitchen! To keep the food fresh for longer, I vacuum seal everything to lock out oxygen and locking in nutrition, flavour, and bright colour of the food.
The VonShef vacuum sealer comes with a touchscreen that allows you to easily seal, vac & seal, or choose between moist and dry food seals at the touch of a button. Very easy to use, and the design is very modern and sleek.
And if you’re into sous vide cooking, then this gadget is perfect for you!
George Foreman Family Grill (£74.99): I mainly use my grill for either grilling burgers and veggies, or grilling sandwiches. I don’t know what I would do without my grill because it’s something that I use all the time!
More about the grill and why I recommend it:
- It’s a seven portion grill designed with bevelled upper steel lid, internal branding and stainless steel handle.
- Really easy to clean, fixed non-stick coated plates and ideal fit drip tray that slides and clips into place. It gets cleaned with just a wipe of a damp cloth, and I’m not even exaggerating!
- Great for small spaces, as it can be stored vertically, including the drip tray with cord storage.
- Adjustable rear foot for flat or angled cooking depending on what you’re making, and it also comes with ready indicator light.
Instant Pot: This gadget is a LIFE CHANGER. I don’t know how did I survive so long without an electric pressure cooker, but I got an Instant Pot last year and it has completely changed my life!
I initially bought it to cook beans, but quickly it became much more than the pressure cooker that I occasionally use to cook beans quickly. Now I use it to cook rice, meals, make yogurt, sides, desserts, drinks, and what not! I have a large collection of great Instant Pot recipes on the blog, so make sure to check it out!
GORGEOUS FOODIE AND HOME GIFTS
Mason Cash Mixing Bowls: A large mixing bowl is needed in every kitchen! I love Mason Cash mixing bowls, they’re not just pretty, but they’re also very useful for mixing batters and mixes, kneading and shaping dough, and even for making salads.
I recently got the new innovative kitchen mixing bowl (see picture above) and I’m very impressed by its ability to be tilted which makes mixing on countertops easier allowing more air to be incorporated into mixes when whisking.
Visit their website to see the whole range.
Nordicware cake pans: The creators of the famous bundt pan make the most beautiful cake pans that you will ever find! I’m obsessed with this Harvest leaves Bundt pan. It’s a high-quality cake pan that is heavy, non-stick, and gives the most beautiful pattern and detail on your cake.
Inspired by the leafy climbing vines, this bundt pan will make you fall in love with baking and your creations even more!
I also really love the Bundt charms (see picture below).
The charm shapes are tiny, but with really pretty details. There are six small bundt shapes: square, jubilee, chiffon, crown, heritage, and original.
Perfect for baking small cakes, brownies, candy, and more!
Viners Canteen cutlery sets come in a wide range of contemporary and traditional patterns that are made to withstand the test of time. Made from 18.10 quality stainless steel, the cutlery contains lustrous properties that are rust-resistant and dishwasher safe.
I own the Eden 44 piece canteen, and it’s really high quality, solid, elegant, and really lovely to use. The wooden box is great for storage. Plus, all of their canteen sets come with a 50-year guarantee!
Kilner Clip-On Bottles: Kilner clip-on bottles are specifically designed to help you preserve oils and juices using a traditional swing top locking system. I personally use mine for kombucha F2, and these bottles with the airtight seal and plastic cap help the kombucha carbonate during the secondary fermentation to get more bubbles!
The 250ml and 550ml bottles are ideal for infusing olive oils, vinaigrettes, and salad dressings. The 1-litre bottle size is perfect for cordials and homemade lemonades.
Kilner jar products are available from Amazon and a wide range of other retailers.
Stasher Reusable Food Storage Bags: I’m always on the mission to use less plastic, and as this year we decided to stop using any single-use plastics in our home. It also means that we stopped using freezer plastic bags, and cling film.
Of course, we needed to find an alternative that is healthy and sustainable and these Stasher bags are awesome! They are plastic-free silicone bags that you can use over and over again to store food in the fridge, freeze it, or even to pack snacks when I’m going out.
Zyliss Cook Pans: Great quality frying pans and saucepans with 3 multi-layer swiss engineered PFAO-free non-stick coating that allows you to cook healthy meals without any oil or butter!
I’ve been using my saucepan almost everyday for over a month now, and it looks like these pans cannot be scratched easily as that’s very important when it comes to the safety of non-stick pans. They’re suitable for all kinds of hobs including induction, come with a tempered glass lid and a soft-grip handle that is oven safe up to 180c.
If you’re looking for high-quality nonstick pans, Zyliss quality will never disappoint!
Jamie Oliver Veg Kitchen Tools: As Jamie Oliver published his “Veg – Easy and delicious meals for everyone” cookbook earlier this year, he also launched a new range of great kitchen tools inspired by the book.
There are so many useful tools to choose from to help you eat more plants and stay healthy. Such as a mango splitter that I love, hand spilariser, potato ricer, hand chopper, and many more!
If you still haven’t heard of Rex London, go check them out now! It’s my favourite online gift store where I can find quirky and unique gifts and retro homeware. There are so many options to choose from, their prices are affordable, and their items are always so colourful and will definitely put a smile on your face!
I recently got this Desert In Bloom Bamboo Tray and a set of 3 containers (£14.96, and £19.95) and I love them! Go check them out, and you’ll find so many wonderful Christmas gift ideas to choose from.
I love having a radio in my kitchen, it’s always on when I’m working. But I also recently got one for my bedroom that comes with an alarm clock and can be used as a portable speaker. This Akai portable retro radio can wake you up every morning to the sounds of your favourite tunes, and it looks sooo good with the cream colour and the 1950’s retro style.
The sound of the radio is sharp and crisp with a powerful 14W, allowing you to select between a variety of radio stations including DAB+, DAB band III, FM and PLL radio, making it the perfect addition for the avid music listener. Featuring 20 station presets, this radio lets you save up to 10 DAB and 10 FM radio stations, allowing you to easily switch between stations to suit your mood.
You can also listen to any music, your favourite podcasts or audiobooks from your phone, tablet or other smart devices simply and wirelessly with easy-pairing Bluetooth functionality.
Reusable Water Bottle 500ml (£18.50): I always take a reusable water bottle with me wherever I go. It keeps me hydrated, and I always try to avoid buying single-use plastics.
Weighing only 110 grams, this stylish stainless steel water bottle is the perfect way to bring your drinks along all day without weighing down your bag. It’s also BPA free, phthalates free and toxins free. Available to order from the British Library online shop.
Seriously good salads cookbook: My current favourite cookbook is this wonderful cookbook by Nicky Corbishley.
Nicky – the founder of Kitchen Sanctuary food blog – shares fresh new salad recipes for any occasion, with an array of quirky flavours from sweet to savoury, and everything in-between!
The recipes are very well presented, and there’s a gorgeous picture for every single recipe in the book.
Happy Vegan Christmas Cookbook: Karoline shares a host of gorgeous plant-based dishes for the festive season with beautiful images and great recipes. The book includes everything that you will need during the festive season from roasted nuts and vegetables to fragrant citrus and cloves and cardamom buns.
I also really love the fact that this book includes some great crafty ideas to try out during the holiday season, such as winter flowers, wreaths, and a wild birdfeeder.
Any vegan, or even non-vegan would love to receive this book as a gift!
The book is available to buy from The Book People, RRP is £14.99 but you can get it for just £5 if bought from The Book People website.
Riverford Vegan Christmas Dinner Box: I’m a big fan of Riverford, and their work and I always talk about them in my Instagram stories. I tried their vegan Christmas dinner box that they kindly sent to me last month, and it contains everything you need for a 100% vegan and organic Christmas dinner, it’s all sorted for you!
The dinner box feeds 2-3 persons generously, and their mince pies are to die for! Sooo good!
- Seasonal organic veg box – small
- Vegan nut roast 400g
- Cranberry sauce 200g
- Vegan mince pies x6
- Clementines 600g
- Vegan Christmas pudding 450g

Revamp heated hair styling brush (£49.99). This is by far the best hair styling brush that I ever tried! It works like a curler, and honestly, the design is so great and unique that it basically brushes your hair and curls it at the same time. It leaves you with beautiful soft curls and volume! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and many people asked me how did I do my hair.
My Mum saw me using this brush, and decided to try it. Guess what’s getting for Christmas this year? Best gift ever!
I can’t recommend this hair styling brush/curler enough. Both my Mum, and I have wavy hair and it works like magic.
Digital Robot Vacuum by VonHaus (£114.99). In the past couple of years, I’ve been seeing lots of people on social media using robot vacuum cleaners and I wasn’t sure if that was something that would work for my house, and I always thought that these little robots randomly cleaned and weren’t smart enough to clean everywhere where needed.
Well, this little robot vacuum by Vonhaus proved me wrong! To be honest, I don’t know how did I survive so long without a robot vacuum cleaner! It not only makes sure that my house is always clean, and I don’t need to spend lots of time cleaning the floors/carpets in every room. But also, it fits under most furniture that I usually don’t bother cleaning underneath and it’s leaving my house spotless.
This little smart robot maps the room on its first outing and sees where it can or cannot go. It seems to remember that, and therefore, saves time in the future when it’s on cleaning the same room. When the battery runs low, it returns to its docking station on its own, and it cleans all sorts of floors (we have parquet in our kitchen and sitting room, carpets in the bedrooms, and tiles in the bathroom).
It’s only 8.8cm tall, which means that it fits under most furniture as I mentioned above. But it also comes with a large and easy to remove and clean dust container.
Overall, I’m really happy with my Vonhaus digital robot vacuum and I’m recommending it to everyone that I know, my family, friends, and my readers!
Thanks to all the brands that sent us some products to test. I only shared the ones that I genuinely loved and would recommend to others.
