If you’re a coffee lover like me, then I’m sure that you understand the obsession! I love everything coffee and probably drink too much coffee every day. So if you ever come to my house, then you’ll find different kinds of great quality coffee, a few coffee machines, milk frothers, syrups, and what not! And below are my current favourites:
Melitta Barista TS Smart (£1,199): For coffee enthusiasts looking for quicker and easier alternative to the time consuming manual espresso makers, this wonderful coffee machine does everything from grinding, making thick creamy espressos to auto milk frothing for your cappuccinos and lattes.
The Melitta Barista TS Smart is currently my favourite. I’ve owned it for just over a month, and I’ve been literally using it every single day. It makes life sooo easy and makes coffee drinking really enjoyable.
There are so many great features in the Melitta Barista TS smart coffee machine, let me tell you about my favourite features:
- There are 21 pre-programmed delicious coffee recipes in this coffee machine, think espresso, latte, flat white, lungo, cafe creme, americano, long black, cappuccino, espresso macchiato, cafe au lait and many many more! This machine can pretty much make anything coffee that your heart desires!
- There are 2 ways to make your drink, you could either download an app on your smartphone and order a drink by a touch of a button. Or you could use the touch and slide sensor panels on the machine to choose your drink, and modify your drink to your liking.
- You can save up to 9 recipes of your own on the machine.
- It’s a bean to cup machine, which means that this machine can freshly grind your whole coffee beans before it prepares your coffee.
- You can add 2 different kinds of coffee beans, and depending on the recipe that you choose the coffee machine will know which beans to use.
- Double cup mode is a real time saver! It allows preparing 2 identical cups of coffee at the same which comes in handy when you make coffee for 2. I use this feature all the time, as my husband and I like to start to our day with a mug of coffee in the morning. So we just order 2 drinks that are exactly the same using the double cup mode.
- I also really love the fact that this Melitta coffee machine can automatically froth the milk. I usually drink almond or oat milk and pour it in the special milk system provided by Melitta. The milk system is very flexible as it can be plugged to either side of the machine. The milk container is also great as I can always put it back in the fridge if I know that I won’t be using the coffee machine for a few hours.
This Melitta coffee machine is one the best gifts that you give to a foodie this year. Trust me, they will love you forever!
Extract Coffee: I recently came across this very lovely coffee brand called Extract Coffee. They offer speciality coffee that is grown and farmed in optimum conditions, harvested with care, processed meticulously and finally, roasted and brewed with a knowledge and understanding that does justice to everyone involved in this process. Speciality coffee is associated with delicious, well made and ethically sourced coffee.
My favourite coffee is the whole bean Cast Iron Espresso, the flavour profile of this coffee revolves around big chocolate and caramel sweetness, with a subtle fruit flavour.
You could purchase a subscription to never get caught short on coffee or gift it to the foodie in your life! You can choose between 3, 6, 9 and 12-month subscription. It makes such a great gift! They also sell really cool gifts on their website, including their branded Keep Cups!
Dolce Gusto Drop Coffee Machine (£125): We love our Dolce Gusto Drop automatic machine in silver. It’s a great pod style coffee machine that can make different hot drinks, not just coffee, but also things like chai latte, hot tea and cold drinks too. What’s so special about the Dolce Gusto machine is the ease of use. So all you need to do is get the pods, make sure that there’s water in the machine and it makes the drink for you.
This stunning Dolce Gusto Drop coffee machine has a maximum 15 bar pump pressure, ensuring coffee-shop quality drinks every time, no matter which Dolce Gusto pod you choose. From layered latte macchiatos to rich Chococinos, bold espressos to classic americanos, Drop will create a fantastic drink every time. It automatic capabilities mean you can customise your drink to suit you – or, for a truly simple, no-fuss experience, just follow the recommendations on your chosen pod.
