How to Make Chicken Caesar Wrap?
All you need is 15 minutes of your time, and a few ingredients. It’s also really easy to substitute some of the ingredients depending on what you have.
The Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make these chicken caesar wraps:
- I often make my own Caesar dressing from scratch, it’s really easy to make and tastes much better than store-bought. So I strongly recommend that you give this recipe a try. If you don’t have time, then you can definitely use store-bought Caesar dressing.
- Tortillas: Use your favorite, I like extra soft wheat tortillas. Sometimes I use whole wheat tortillas.
- Cooked chicken: Grilled chicken, air fried chicken, baked chicken, rotisserie chicken, shredded chicken, use whatever you have on hand! The chicken that you see in my pictures was cooked on a grill pan to get grill marks.
- Croutons: Homemade, or store-bought. I prefer garlic croutons, they add more flavor to the wraps. Check out my classic Caesar salad recipe to learn how to make homemade croutons. So simple and quick!
- Parmesan cheese – a Caesar salad essential.
- Lettuce – Caesar salad is usually made with romaine/cos lettuce or romaine hearts, as it’s crispy and doesn’t go soggy when covered in the dressing. But if you can’t find it, then I recommend using iceberg lettuce.
- Cherry tomatoes – optional but add a great texture, flavor, and color to the wraps.
Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.
The Directions
- Prep the ingredients, and put everything in a large bowl. The bowl must be large enough to easily toss the ingredients.
- Toss the ingredients so that the dressing covers every bit of lettuce (more flavor!).
- Warm up the tortillas in a microwave for 8-10 seconds, and add the filling to the center of the tortillas. Roll just like you roll a burrito tucking in the edges.
- Secure with toothpicks if necessary, or warm them up again on a dry pan.
Storing, Packing Lunch, and Making Ahead Tips.
If you plan on making these chicken wraps ahead of time, make sure that you store them in the fridge in a sealed container before consuming or wrap individually in foil and store for up to 3 days. Enjoy cold or at room temperature.
These chicken Caesar wraps are also perfect for packed lunches, lunch boxes, picnics, or lunch on the go!
Recommended Tools for This Recipe
- Sharp knife. This is the knife that I use all the time, a sharp knife is so important and if you want to invest in a new knife then a high-quality chef knife is what I recommend. This one is also currently on sale and well worth the money.
- Spoon. To spread the Caesar salad filling.
- Cutting board. To chop up the veggies, and assemble the wrap.
