Easy garlic bread made with 3 simple ingredients…
I LOVE recipes that call for minimal ingredients, and this baguette garlic bread recipe requires as little as 3 simple ingredients! It’s so easy to make and can be ready in under 10 minutes.
HOW TO MAKE EASY GARLIC BREAD
The 3 ingredients that you need to make this baguette garlic bread are:
Of course you can add dried herbs, salt and black pepper, cheese or even sesame seeds if you like!
Making this crusty garlic bread is very easy. Put softened butter in a bowl, and mix it with minced garlic (for extra garlic flavour, you can add dried garlic powder as well). Slice the baguette but not all the way through, I like to leave the base intact to make sure that it holds together. divide the butter between the sliced baguette, wrap in foil and bake on 200c for 5-7 minutes. The garlic bread should be crispy but the centers will stay soft.
And that’s it! Easy peasy!
BAGUETTE GARLIC BREAD
There are different variations of garlic bread, it can be made with yeasted dough just like a pizza. Or with plain toast, as a pull apart garlic bread or even as garlic bread rolls. This recipe is the easiest out of these (as well as the toast method), as it uses ready made bread that can be easily sliced and made.
HOW TO MAKE GARLIC BREAD WITHOUT AN OVEN
I usually make garlic bread in the oven, but it is possible to also make it using a frying pan on the hob. Simply melt some butter in the microwave, add garlic to the butter and spread it over the bread. Toast on the pan for 2-3 minutes on each side and serve.
I like to pair this baguette garlic bread with winter soups, and this Cully & Sully chicken and vegetable soup and garlic bread is a match made in heaven!
CULLY AND SULLY SOUPS
During this cold weather and the flu season, I like to eat lots of warming soups. And I recently came across this lovely soup brand called Cully & Sully. These guys make healthy and nutritious soups using natural ingredients that taste great. They make lots of different soups but my favourite is this Chicken & Vegetable Soup. This hearty and comforting chicken soup not only tastes amazing, but it is a great cure for common cold. Sipping on warm chicken soup can help clear the sinuses, and aid with cold and flu symptoms.
I simply warm this soup up either on the cooker until it boils, or in the microwave for a couple of minutes then I garnish it with my favourite toppings. There are many toppings that taste really good with this chicken and vegetable soup. I usually either add a tablespoon of cream fraiche and just whisk it into the soup, or sprinkle with pumpkin seeds, crushed nuts and of course freshly ground black pepper!
Because I’m such a big fan of garlic bread, and garlic in general. I like to make lots of garlic butter and keep it in the freezer. It freezes so well, and makes life easier when I make garlic bread. It’s also great for these busy mid-week nights when you need to make dinner but have no time!
Adding herbs to the garlic butter is also great, I like to add parsley or rosemary to the mixture before forming a log with cling film and refrigerating it. Mixing the ingredients in a bowl is easy especially when the butter is softened at room temperature, but using a food processor is also a good idea.
