This Apple Cider Vinaigrette is an all-purpose salad dressing as it’s delicious with any salad! A few simple ingredients are combined and shaken in a jar to emulsify and create a luscious, tangy, sweet, and light salad dressing that you are going to love!
This apple cider vinaigrette is a lifesaver when you want to throw together a quick salad for lunch. I generally avoid buying store-bought dressings as they’re packed with harmful ingredients, and honestly, making your own salad dressing at home is SO easy.
This vinaigrette is tangy, sweet, and savory at the same time. I love that I can make it quickly in a small jar, and shake it until it’s emulsified into a creamy luscious dressing.
So here’s the deal, you only need a few simple ingredients that you already have in your kitchen, combine them and drizzle on whatever salad you’re making! This dressing is light on salad leaves, and won’t make your salad soggy.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Simple Ingredients – a few cupboard ingredients are needed to make this delicious salad dressing.
- Creamy – as I mentioned before, the acid and the olive oil are shaken to combine which means that they’re emulsified to create a creamy dressing.
- Great on Every Salad – this works on almost every salad! I love it on leafy greens to make my simple tossed green salad, or just cut up fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and bell peppers.

Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.
How To Make Recipe
- The best way to combine and emulsify the salad dressing is using a small jar, add all of your ingredients, seal the jar and shake until you get a well combined dressing. If you don’t have a jar, use a whisk and whisk vigorously in a bowl until very well combined. This is the jar that I use.
- Pour over the prepped salad leaves and toss gently to combine.
Storing Tips
Store leftover apple cider vinaigrette in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. If you’re planning to serve it later, I recommend adding the garlic right before serving as the flavor of the garlic can intensify more than desired.
