How to make one-pot pasta
- Start by dicing an onion and slicing 2 garlic cloves. Dice the tomato and finely chop a chili if using.
- In a wide pot or pan, place all of the ingredients and turn on the heat. You have to make sure that the pasta is fully covered with the liquid.
- Cover with the lid, and let it cook for 8 minutes. Stir the pasta every 2 minutes. Then cook uncovered until the pasta is al dente and the sauce has thickened. You might need to add a little bit of more stock or hot water if the sauce is too thick.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or basil leaves, and more salt and pepper if desired.
Easy Family Meal
This pasta makes a wonderful weeknight family dinner. The adults and the kids will love it, and once you make it, you will want to keep making it over and over again.
If you’re cooking for children, just skip adding the red chili.
