To the jug of a blender, add ice cream, milk, and green food coloring. Blend on low speed until smooth and creamy. If needed, adjust the consistency by adding more milk to the milkshake.
To rim the glasses, spread a small quantity of red or green icing to the edge of the rim and immediately decorate with holiday sprinkles.
Pour the milkshake into the rimmed glasses, then garnish with fresh whipped cream and decorate with more sprinkles.
- Allow the ice cream to sit on your counter for 5 minutes before scooping it into the blender. This will soften the ice cream and make it more scoopable.
- When buying ice cream, make sure that it's 100% made of dairy. There are many frozen treats that are made with vegetable oils and you want to avoid them.
- Place your glasses in the freezer 15 minutes before making the milkshakes, this will help the milkshakes stay cold for longer.
- Do not add ice cubes to your milkshake, they will melt and your milkshake will become too watery.
