This easy quiche recipe is loaded with ham or bacon, cheese, green onions, and savory egg custard! Perfect for a delicious breakfast, brunch, or dinner, and it's super easy to make. Use a pre-made pie crust or make it crustless!
Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C), and set a rack in the middle position.
Line a tart pan or pie plate, with a single pie crust (if using frozen, thaw for 10 minutes).
Using a fork, poke holes into the bottom and sides of the crust and place in the oven to bake the crust for about 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven, and set aside. Turn the oven down to 325°F (160°C).
While the crust is baking, in a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and cream. Be sure to have the egg yolks mixed well into the cream. Once mixed, stir in the seasonings, ham, and cheese, stirring to evenly distribute the ingredients.
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and place in the oven on the center rack.
Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the eggs are set and do not jiggle in the center of the pie.
Notes
If you would like to use bacon instead of ham, it will have to be cooked first.
Watch the crust as it’s baking so it doesn’t burn.
You can brush an egg white on the outer crust to help it turn golden brown.
