Valentine Baked Ring Doughnuts
Easy milk baked doughnuts decorated with easy homemade pink and red frosting for Valentine's Day

Servings 8 doughnuts
For the donuts
- 250 grams flour
- 120 grams granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 180 ml a2 Milk
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the glaze
- 200 grams caster sugar
- 2 tbsp a2 Milk
- red food colouring
Make the donuts
Preheat oven to 180c, and grease your doughnut tin.
In a mixing bowl mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg).
Add milk, vegetable oil and vanilla. Mix until just combined.
Spoon batter into a piping bag and pipe into your doughnut tin, about 3/4 full.
Bake in the oven until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. 10-12 minutes.
Remove from the oven, and let the doughnuts cool for 5 minutes before you can transfer them to a wire rack.
Make the glaze
In a small bowl, combine caster sugar with milk and food colouring and mix well. To get pink glaze add one drop of red food colouring, and for red glaze add more to achieve the desired colour.
Either dip the tops of the doughnuts in the pink glaze, or apply using a spoon. To decorate with the red glaze use a fork. Serve warm.
