Blue Cheese Dressing

This creamy blue cheese dressing is funky - in a good way! It's easy to make a dressing just like you'd find on a fancy restaurant salad or served with your favorite chicken wings.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces blue cheese such as Stilton, Gorgonzola, or Danish Blue
  • 2 tablespoons buttermilk
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl using a fork mash together blue cheese and buttermilk, add sour cream, mayo, sugar, lemon, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • If you need to thin out the dressing, add a tablespoon of buttermilk or water.

Notes

  • Use any type of blue cheese that you enjoy. If you aren't sure, look for gorgonzola, danish blue, or stilton cheeses.
  • Whole milk can be used if you don't have buttermilk, but buttermilk adds to the delicious tangy flavor of the dressing.
  • To Store: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
