Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups (500 ml) milk of choice for serving

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized bowl, using an electric mixer or a whisk, whisk the sugar, with the coffee granules, and hot water.
  • The mixture will be a dark brown at the beginning, but the color will change the longer you whip it up for. Once you reach a fluffy smooth cream-like texture that is light in color, that means that your dalogna coffee is ready.
  • Spoon it over hot or cold milk, or water.

Notes

  1. Use a bowl to mix the coffee mixture, rather than a mug, jug, or jar.
  2. It's recommended to use an electric hand or stand mixer. If using a whisk, the process will take longer.
  3. Use hot water instead of cold as it works better.
  4. For decaf, just use decaf coffee instead.
  5. You can cut the amount of sugar in half, and it works but it won't be as creamy as the mixture that is made with more sugar. You can also use sugar alternatives such as stevia. Brown sugar works well too.
  6. You can store the whipped coffee in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
There are many things that you can add to your whipped coffee to make it taste even better, such as:
  • Half milk, half baileys
  • Coconut milk with ice
  • Vanilla bean paste
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Coffee liqueur
