Black Bean Dip

A simple and easy vegan black bean dip. All you need to do is blitz the ingredients in a blender or a food processor, and your dip is ready!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (60 g) black beans soaked overnight then cooked in the pressure cooker for 20 minutes.
  • ¼ red onion yellow onion works as well
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro fresh, frozen or dried
  • green chile either red or green
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • water start with 1 tablespoon, add more if needed

Instructions

  • To make the dip, place all of the ingredients in the jug of a blender or a food processor.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. If your mixture is too thick, add more water and blend again. Make sure not to add too much water as that can result in a runny consistency.
