Delicious chicken burgers that are grilled in my Tefal Optigrill, these patties are moist and juicy!
Summer is over and the weather is getting colder, it’s no longer possible to do the grilling outdoors… I was very lucky to receive this Tefal Optigrill to review because it means that now I can do the grilling in my kitchen!
This clever stainless steel kitchen gadget can actually tell you when your food is cooked just right, and this is making my life 1000x times easier. There’s a sensor that can determine the thickness of the food being cooked, and you can select the category of what type of meat are you cooking (burgers, poultry, steaks, sausages, red meat, fish). It can also grill sandwiches and vegetables.
Setting this grill up is quite simple, you have to take the optigrill out of the box, wash the metal plates (if you’re using it for the first time), put them back, select the category of the food being cooked, then press the “OK” button. This is when the grill will start heating up. Once heated the grill will beep to let you know that you now can grill the food, the colour of the LED will keep changing to indicate how “well” is the food cooked, rare, well done, etc… We grilled so many things using this Optigrill and everything turned out very delicious every single time! We have tried grilling BBQ beef steaks, marinated chicken, shrimps, homemade chicken nuggets, tomatoes, broccoli, and mushrooms! I also made panini sandwiches a couple of times, and they turned out very tasty!
You don’t need to add any oils when grilling the food, so it can cook your food without any extra fats. And the design is just perfect, the plates are inclined so they allow the fats to drip down to the detachable tray. Also, the trays are very easy to remove and can be put in the dishwasher.
Making these chicken patties is very easy, and they’re much healthier than the store-bought ones. You can add some sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes, or any other sauteed vegetables to the mixture if you like. I used whole wheat bread buns with oats to make these burgers, as well as mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and fresh basil. Simple and yummy!
Healthy Chicken Burgers
- 1 kg ground chicken
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- Preheat your electric grill.
- In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil and saute chopped onion and minced garlic.
- In a large bowl combine the ground chicken with the sauteed onion and garlic.
- Add the egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix very well and make 8 qual patties.
- Grill using your electric grill.
