Skinny healthy watermelon sorbet…
So I wanted to share this recipe with you for a while now, it is my absolute favourite in the summer! Healthy, sweet, no sugar added, low in calories, full of nutrients, frozen, delicious, refreshing, easy to make, and very satisfying!!
Watermelon is one of my favourite fruits, it is also a reason to look forward to the summer to enjoy this refreshing fruit on hot summer days! If you’re trying to eat “clean” this dessert is for you! It lacks the fat and the sugar, and contains REAL fruit.
This sorbet is made from 2 ingredients only, both are healthy and low in calories! Watermelon and Lemon juice! To make this summer treat, all you have to do is freeze seedless watermelon chunks, place in a food processor or blender adding lemon juice, blend until smooth and serve! If you feel like you need to freeze the sorbet after blending then feel free to do so as it will result in more of ice cream like texture.
The lemon juice adds a zesty hint to the sorbet which results in the perfect combination.Â If your watermelon isn’t sweet, you can add some sugar, I’m not saying that it will be healthy but it can improve the taste.
Healthy 2 Ingredient Watermelon Sorbet
- 4 cups seedless watermelon cut into cubes
- juice of one lemon or lime
- Freeze the seedless watermelon chunks overnight
- Place frozen chunks with lemon juice in a food processor or a blender. Blend until consistency is smooth and serve.
