Chilli garlic salmon is a great dinner idea!
Summer has officially arrived and I’m so excited because it’s my favourite season in the year! I’ve been dreaming about the summer for a few months now as I have so much planned. Thinking about all the watermelon slushies, swimming pools, nights out and the summer foods! Even cooking becomes more fun during the summer. As the foods become lighter, the colours get brighter, and the cooking becomes quicker!
So I’ve partnered up with one of my all time favourite brands to show you a quick and delicious recipe that you will love. This is my first time working with The Saucy Fish Co, but I’ve always loved their products!
THE SAUCY FISH CO.
The Saucy Fish Co offers a great range of fish and sauce. Fish and sauce are amazing together, but so many people find it difficult to fillet and flavour fish in their own kitchens. So The Saucy Fish Co’s mission is to make it (almost) effortless for anyone to make a seriously tasty and healthy meal at home. They responsibly source different kinds of fish fillet cuts, and add wonderful sauce sachets to the packages to make it easy for people to cook at home.
CHILLI GARLIC SALMON
For this recipe I’ve used the salmon with Chilli, Lime and Ginger dressing. This dressing can be served either hot or cold, and you can either add it to the salmon while cooking, or you can add it at the end by pouring it over the cooked salmon. What I’ve done is a bit different though, I decided to marinate the salmon using the dressing. I also added some minced garlic, lemon juice and sprigs of thyme for a wonderful flavour. After combining the fish with the rest of the ingredients and the sauce, I let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
There are many ways in which you can cook your salmon. You can either pan fry it, poach it, bake it or even barbecue it. Salmon fillets are cooked very quickly so I find it easy to pan fry on medium temperature for a quick and easy meal. I suggest serving this salmon with steamed new baby potatoes with butter and herb, but you could also serve it with pasta, vegetables or rice on the side.
The Saucy Fish Co also offer other wonderful products such as salmon with different kinds of sauces, as well as sea bass, cod, haddock, fishcakes, and even ready to enjoy steamed salmon with lime and coriander sauce (a favourite!).
I also created a video to show you how easy is this chilli garlic salmon to make, you can see it here:
Fun fact: Eating salmon makes you look younger! That’s right, it’s one of these foods that not only do wonders to your waistline but it’s also rich in anti-aging ingredients including omega 3 fatty acids that helps smoothing wrinkles by decreasing skin dryness and keeping your skin soft.
